PULO ACEH

Pulo subdistrict of Aceh is one of 23 district in Aceh Besar district and is the only island district in Aceh Besar district,
formed based on PP. 5 Year 1983 with a capital Lampuyang. Furthermore, based on Law Number 37 Year 2000 District of Pulo Aceh is also included in the
Region Free Trade and Free Port of Sabang.

Topographical condition of the villages in Pulo Aceh is generally located at the shoreline (fishing village),
surrounding hills (village farmers / plantations) and in the plains area (the area of trade and services).

Existing state of this area include:
Coastal and marine conditions though were damaged but has the potential to be developed as a beach resort area also livelihood of fishermen.
Condition of the hills are still well preserved and the natural vegetation and land contours.
Aquaculture conditions, is generally destroyed by retaining embankments damaged or lost and the tsunami silted pond area but remain the main livelihood for the villagers in some locations.
Condition of paddy field / plantation damaged and is expected to be rehabilitated in order to be recovered or altered function.
The main function of the village is not functioning / not functioning normally. The structure of rural space many are still lost or badly damaged condition.
